Men and Boys for Gender Equality


Men and boys can act as agents of change to achieve gender equality and that women and girls live a life free from violence, exploitation and discrimination.

For 10+ years, we have worked on the issue of engaging men and boys for gender equality. 

A PhD examining men’s attitudes toward women and domestic violence and exploring South Asian masculinities. 

Attended and presented at events and conferences such as the International Conference on Masculinities.

Been an advisor to GREAT Initiative’s Great Men. The Great Men project, aims to challenge stereotypes of masculinity and to engage men and boys in the movement towards gender equality.

Been a Founder and Director of Men and Boys for Gender Equality (MBGE). We developed a website to gather and share knowledge on masculinities; and to raise awareness of the need to, and to, engage men and boys in promoting gender equality and ending VAWG.

Throughout our employment (Government Equalities Office, Plan International, PwC, and as an independent consultant) worked on projects and programmes that included interventions to engage men and boys for gender equality.

Delivered training on engaging men and boys for gender equality in the UK and across the world.

Been a member of MenEngage, which is a global alliance of NGOs that work with men and boys to promote gender equality.
